Church of the Holy Cross

The Church of the Holy Cross (Anglican/Episcopal) was constructed during the 1850's and is on the site of an earlier church that was build in about 1788.  The church stands on land donated by Thomas Sumter and the adjacent cemetery contains the graves of several Revolutionary War veterans.  The church is situated in Sumter County SC just off of SC Highway 261, a short distance north of the town of Stateburg.
